Wheels sorted while the car is in for a service
Servicing is the heart of what we do, and alloy wheel refurbishment fits neatly around it. If your car is already with us for an Oil Service from £125 + VAT or a Full Service from £225 + VAT, the wheels can be dealt with in the same visit rather than costing you a separate trip. The same applies to alignment. If the wheels are coming off anyway, that is the sensible moment to put right the kerb damage you have been ignoring for a year.
What we do
- Diamond-cut refurbishment, restoring the machined face that gives the wheel its original finish
- Powder coating, in a hard-wearing finish suited to London roads and winter salt
- General alloy repair, including kerb damage, scuffs, chips and corrosion under the lacquer
- Full sets or single wheels, so one damaged corner does not mean paying for four
All of it is done in house at The Coppetts Centre, not sent out to a third party. That means we control the quality, the timing and the price, and you deal with the same people throughout.
Why finish matters
A kerbed wheel is not only cosmetic. Corrosion that starts under damaged lacquer works its way along the rim, and a rim that has lost its seal will let a tyre lose pressure slowly. On a leased car, wheel condition is one of the first things inspected at the end of the agreement, and refurbishment is usually a fraction of the charge you would otherwise face.
Alignment and wheels together
We have two ramps set aside purely for wheel alignment and run laser four-wheel geometry, branded Geo by Luke. If a wheel has been damaged hard enough to need refurbishing, the impact may well have moved the geometry too, so it is worth checking both at once rather than finding out later.
