How does the repair process work?
Five steps, in this order, every time. Nothing is repaired until the scope and the price have been agreed with you.

Body and paint work has its own area alongside the mechanical workshop and its 14 ramps. The car stays on one site for panel work, paint, alloy wheels and any mechanical repair the impact turns up, so nothing is sent out and nothing waits on a second premises.

Do I need an appointment for a bodywork estimate?
No. Bring the car to the bodyshop any day between 10:00 and 15:00 and we will look at it with you. There is no appointment system for estimates on purpose, because the useful conversation happens standing next to the damage. We are at Unit A, The Coppetts Centre, North Circular Road, London N12 0SH, just off the A406 in Finchley.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. The walk-in estimate is free and there is no obligation to go ahead. We inspect the damage, explain what is likely to be involved and prepare the estimate from the car itself rather than from a photograph.
What kinds of damage do you repair?
Accident and collision damage, dents, kerb scrapes and car-park damage, cosmetic damage and vandal scratches, localised paint and patch repairs, full resprays, rear-end and bumper damage, and kerbed, buckled or corroded alloy wheels. The repair method depends on what we find when the car is inspected, which is why the estimate comes after seeing it.
Do you handle insurance claims?
We can help with communicating with your insurer and with the claim paperwork. That is assistance, not approval: it does not mean the insurer has approved us or approved a repair, and authorisation always remains with the insurer and the policyholder. You are also free to have the work done privately rather than through a policy, and it is worth asking for the estimate either way before you decide.
Will I get a courtesy car while my car is repaired?
Courtesy cars may be available, subject to availability and eligibility. Ask when we prepare the estimate and we will tell you where you stand rather than leaving it open.
Can you repair a bumper rather than replace it?
Often, yes. Whether a bumper is repaired or replaced depends on the material, the extent of the damage and the age of the car, and that is one of the things the inspection settles. We will tell you which we are proposing and why before any work is agreed.
Do you repair alloy wheels as well as bodywork?
Yes, and it is done here rather than sent out. Wheels are diamond-cut, powder-coated or repaired in house, which is why kerbed and corroded wheels can be done on the same visit as panel work. There is more detail on the alloy wheel refurbishment page.
My car pulls to one side after a knock. Can you check that too?
Yes. We have two dedicated laser four-wheel alignment ramps on the same site, so steering and suspension geometry can be measured and set to the manufacturer figures as part of the same visit. If warning lights appeared after the impact we can also read stored fault codes with our diagnostic equipment.
Where is the bodyshop, and what are your hours?
The bodyshop is part of the main workshop at Unit A, The Coppetts Centre, North Circular Road, London N12 0SH. The garage is open seven days a week: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 19:00, and Saturday and Sunday 08:30 to 19:00. Estimates are seen between 10:00 and 15:00.
