Who these terms are between
They apply to work carried out at our workshop by White Rose Motors Ltd, Unit A, The Coppetts Centre, North Circular Road, London N12 0SH, for whoever brings a vehicle to us. They sit alongside your legal rights and do not reduce them.
This website
The website is for information only. There is no online booking and no online payment, so nothing on it is a binding offer and no contract is made through it. Work is arranged by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person.
Estimates, quotations and prices
Prices on this site are guide prices from a starting point. The Oil Service starts from £125 plus VAT and the Full Service from £225 plus VAT, and what you pay depends on the vehicle, engine and model and on the parts and oil it takes. The MOT fee is fixed at £45.
An estimate is our best view of the cost before we see the vehicle. A quotation is a firm figure, given after inspection. Where no price is agreed in advance, the charge will be a reasonable one, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires.
The freeMOT offer
A Full Service includes a free MOT. Quote the code freeMOT when you arrange the work. It is one MOT per vehicle per Full Service, has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. We may change or withdraw the offer, but will honour it where it has already been agreed.
Approving extra work
We will not carry out extra chargeable work without your approval. If we find something while your vehicle is with us, we will call or message you with what it is and what it costs, and wait for you to agree.
Parts
We fit new or reconditioned parts, whichever suits the job, and we will tell you which. Any manufacturer or supplier warranty on a part passes to you. We will fit parts you supply at our discretion, but cannot warrant a part we did not supply, and the labour to replace it if it fails is chargeable.
Our workmanship
We carry out work with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If something is not right, tell us as soon as you can and bring the vehicle back. Where the fault is ours, we will put it right.
Collecting and returning your car
Free collection and delivery is available for eligible servicing customers within the collection area, subject to location and workshop capacity. The garage must confirm the address, vehicle and required work in advance. The vehicle must be roadworthy, taxed and insured before we can drive it.
Courtesy cars
Courtesy cars are subject to availability. Conditions apply to anyone driving one.
To be confirmed by White Rose Motors before publication: the courtesy car conditions, including driver age and licence requirements, insurance, excess, fuel and mileage.
Payment
Payment is due when you collect the vehicle, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Prices shown plus VAT have VAT added at the rate in force.
To be confirmed by White Rose Motors before publication: the payment methods accepted and any account terms offered to fleet or trade customers.
Vehicles left after the work is done
Space is limited, so please collect the vehicle promptly once we tell you it is ready. If it is left beyond the notice period, a reasonable daily storage charge may apply.
We also have a legal right, known as a lien, to keep a vehicle until the bill for work done on it has been paid. It is a standard right for garages, though we would rather talk a problem through.
To be confirmed by White Rose Motors before publication: the notice period before storage charges begin and the daily storage rate.
MOT
MOT testing is carried out to DVSA standards and the result goes onto the national database as soon as the test finishes. A fail cannot be negotiated or set aside, and we cannot pass a vehicle that does not meet the standard. Failed items can be repaired wherever you choose.
Bodywork and insurance work
Bodywork estimates are free, need no appointment, and can be done any day between 10am and 3pm. Where the repair goes through an insurance claim, the insurer's authorisation decides what is covered and what is paid. Any policy excess is payable by you, and work the insurer will not cover is priced separately.
Liability
Please take valuables out of the vehicle, as we cannot accept responsibility for belongings left inside. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by a failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not for unforeseeable loss.
To be confirmed by White Rose Motors before publication: the cap on all other liability, normally a maximum sum linked to the value of the work.
Complaints
Speak to us first. Call 020 8445 1050, message the same number on WhatsApp, email info@whiterosemotors.com, or come in. We aim to sort things out quickly and fairly.
Governing law
These terms and any work we carry out for you are governed by the law of England and Wales.
